Description: Can be classified as an interface component as per NFPA Standard #1977 (Appendix definition). The UNI-V2 is designed to completely cover the face and neck tightly or loosely depending on preference. Offers some measure of respiratory relief by filtering large airborne particulate through use of 2 layers of FR knit mesh. Designed to provide exceptional safety & comfort, even during long-term use. Designed to be installed in all wildland helmets.
Main Users: Can be used by firefighters, oil refinery workers and others in areas where heat, flame and airborne particulate hazards exist.
Limitations: Will not filter or block fire gases and vapors.
Coverage: Most areas of the face, ears and neck.
Product Testing: No standards have been developed by NFPA or OSHA for facial protection, but CarbonX Materials far exceed minimum requirements for NFPA Standard #1977 Wildland Protective Clothing & Equipment, 1998 & 2003.
Care: Machine, hand or dry clean.
